What Email Studio Controls

Email Studio controls store-originated lifecycle emails such as order confirmation, shipping and delivery updates, shipping-delay notices, cancellations, failures, and pickup updates.

It does not control marketing campaigns or subscriber consent. Treat Email Studio as the transactional email workspace.

Use it when you want to:

  • align transactional email copy with your brand voice
  • preview how lifecycle messages render before customers receive them
  • adjust CTA copy, body HTML, and message emphasis without changing platform behavior

Good Editing Practice

Keep transactional messages clear first and branded second. These emails usually arrive when customers need certainty.

Focus on:

  • concise action-oriented subject lines
  • obvious next steps for the customer
  • accurate fulfillment and support language
  • clear instructions when customer approval or cancellation input is needed
  • consistent footer and sender identity

Compliance Boundary

Transactional emails in Email Studio are separate from marketing subscriber consent.

  • order and fulfillment emails remain operational
  • subscriber status belongs to marketing workflows
  • unsubscribe logic for promotional email should not be modeled by editing transactional templates
